It provides a much more accurate replica for the dental technician to work with and, in our experience, leads to a better fit of replacement teeth such as crowns, bridges etc. The patient also finds the experience a lot more comfortable.

We use the 3Shape TRIOS dental intraoral scanner which is a hand-held 3D scanning tool that is redefining the fundamentals of digital impression techniques in the dental industry. One of the most important aspects of the 3Shape TRIOS dental intraoral scanner is the impact it has on a patient’s overall dental experience.

The camera is held in the patient’s mouth for 10 minutes to take pictures, which creates a scan and allows the patient to see their mouth in 3D. A treatment plan can be made up from this.
