Pain free dentistry

Modern dentistry is virtually pain free and this is due to products like the Wand. The wand is a computer controlled device that precisely controls the amount of administered anaesthetic giving a low dose and comfortable 'numbing' experience. In this way individual teeth can be numbed without causing numbness to the lips and tongue, which means you can go back to work with the minimal of interference to your day.

Modern radiography has revolutionised dental practices. Digital x-rays allow us to reduce the radiation exposure by 90% compared to conventional methods.
X-rays typically take 4 seconds to appear on the screen and can be
manipulated immediately for a better diagnosis. These images can then be printed or e-mailed which previously was much more difficult with hard copies of radiographs.


PAD™ Laser

It is a laser device which we use to sterilise deep cavities and root canals. A harmless stain is applied to the tooth which binds to the bacterial cell wall. The laser selectively eliminates all bacteria and, unlike other methods of disinfection, does not affect any other normal tissue nor does it stain the gingivae or restorations. Furthermore, PAD™ does not encourage the development of any resistant species.
